Samsung to roll out additional Galaxy AI features to older smartphone models

The features will be released via software update.

There are several new AI functions in the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Fold 6, which were just released. Presently, the company intends to extend those features to a few additional smartphones, such as the Galaxy S23 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, and earlier editions. These AI-powered features from Galaxy include Overlay Translation, Sketch to Image, Portrait Studio, and more.

Two features that are currently offered by the new Galaxy Z Flip 6 are Auto Zoom and Flex Camcorder; however, they will soon be available on the Galaxy Z Flip 5. In the Flex Camera mode, you may use AI to automatically detect people or pets and alter the zoom ratio to get the best possible shot. In Flex mode, you can zoom more smoothly when recording video in camcorder mode, open the phone ninety degrees and hold it like a camcorder.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5, Flip 5, Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy Tab S9 series will now be able to access Instant Slowmo, another function that is supported by the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6. With the Instant Slow-mo function, which appears at the top left of the gallery screen, you may save the part you viewed right away. The saved video can be shared by using the share button, saving you the trouble of saving it as a separate slow-motion file.

Astro Portrait, which is limited to Galaxy Z Fold 6/Flip 6, will also be released for two more Samsung devices, the Galaxy S23 and S24 models. The Galaxy Tab S8/9 series, Galaxy S22/S23/S24 series, and Galaxy Z Fold4/Flip4 series will all receive the Image Quality and Raw Editor capabilities.
