Western Digital Unveils World’s Highest Capacity 2.5-inch Portable HDDs In India

WD has been producing some robust external HDD and now they have increased its capacity.

Western Digital has introduced the world’s highest capacity 2.5-inch portable hard drives (WD My Passport HDD) in India, expanding its WD, WD_BLACK, and SanDisk Professional product portfolios. These new 6TB portable HDDs cater to the growing demand for robust digital storage solutions.

“We are excited to introduce the world’s first 2.5-inch 6TB portable hard drive in India, marking a significant technological milestone. Our goal is to meet diverse storage needs by bringing these high-capacity drives to our various brands, reinforcing our commitment to consumers,” stated Khalid Wani, Senior Director Sales, India, Western Digital.

The 6TB WD My Passport series offers ample storage for adventurers and professionals alike. With USB-C technology and a modern metal design, these drives are ready to use out of the box. They also feature password protection with 256-bit AES hardware encryption, ensuring data security. The 6TB WD My Passport is priced at Rs 15,499, while the USB-C variant is available for Rs 15,999.

For those requiring a rugged storage solution, the SanDisk Professional G-DRIVE ArmorATD provides all-terrain durability with shock, rain, dust, and crush resistance. This 6TB drive, perfect for protecting valuable footage in various environments, is priced at Rs 20,999 and will be available by the end of the month.
