How to use Oppo’s AI Studio to create animated pictures of yourself

The AI Studio app on Oppo phones creates fun animated portraits of the subject based on the chosen template.

Oppo’s new AI package contains a diverse range of features that can handle tasks ranging from summarisation to photo editing. Previously, we covered the AI Eraser tool on Oppo smartphones which is quite similar to Google Pixel’s Magic Eraser. We now turn our attention to the AI Studio. Unlike other Oppo AI features, the AI Studio is a standalone app in ColorOS 14.1. Let’s take a look at how you can use the AI Studio app to create animated pictures of yourself on your Oppo smartphone.

Before you begin

The AI Studio app relies on your pictures to create an accurate animated portrait. The key to generating the perfect portrait is uploading a good-quality picture with the right composition. Here are some tips you should keep in mind while uploading a picture on the app:

  • Your picture should be a close-up of the upper half of your body
  • Your face should be clearly visible
  • No obstructions should be present between the subject and the camera
  • Make sure the picture is taken in well-lit conditions

If you’re not happy with the animated portrait, you can always upload another image with a different pose.
