Apple Watch Series 10 Unveiled: Thinner, Smarter, and Packed with New Features

The sleekest Apple Watch yet promises enhanced health tracking, faster charging, and a bigger display.

Apple has officially revealed the Apple Watch Series 10, the thinnest and most advanced iteration of its flagship wearable along with the Apple iPhone 16 series. With a design that’s slimmer than ever, it brings new features like sleep apnea notifications, water depth and temperature sensing, and faster charging, all powered by watchOS 11. The Apple Watch Series 10 is available in aluminium and titanium finishes, and pre-orders start today, with devices hitting shelves on September 20.

A Refined Design and Bigger Display

The Apple Watch Series 10 is 10% thinner than previous versions, making it more comfortable for everyday wear. The redesigned metal back integrates the antenna directly into the case, offering a seamless look that appears to be crafted from a single piece of metal. This streamlined approach doesn’t sacrifice power, as the new S10 SiP processor and a 4-core Neural Engine ensure the watch delivers on speed and efficiency.

Notably, this model introduces Apple’s largest display to date, featuring a wide-angle OLED screen that’s 40% brighter than its predecessor when viewed from an angle. This means better visibility on the go, whether you’re checking notifications or using the new Flux and Reflections watch faces designed to take full advantage of the larger screen real estate.

Advanced Health Features: Sleep Apnea and More

Health remains a top priority with the Apple Watch Series 10. Sleep apnea notifications are a standout feature, designed to track breathing disturbances and offer potential signs of the condition. Apple claims this will help users identify sleep issues early, with detailed reports available to share with healthcare providers.

Additionally, the new water depth and temperature sensors are a boon for swimmers and divers. The watch can now measure up to 6 meters underwater and track water temperature during activities. Paired with the Tides app, it makes the Series 10 a versatile tool for water sports enthusiasts.

Faster Charging, Longer Battery Life

For those constantly on the move, faster charging is a game changer. The Series 10 boasts a more efficient charging coil, allowing users to power up the watch for eight hours of sleep tracking in just eight minutes. A full charge now takes about 30 minutes, meaning less downtime and more time utilizing the device’s features.

A Step Forward in Sustainability

In line with Apple’s carbon-neutral ambitions, the Apple Watch Series 10 is made with 100% recycled aluminium or 95% recycled titanium. This move represents a significant step toward Apple’s 2030 goal of carbon neutrality across its entire footprint, making this one of the most eco-conscious Apple Watch releases yet.

Apple Watch Series 10 starts at Rs 46,900.

While the thinner design and larger display are notable upgrades, it’s the sleep apnea notifications and faster charging that will likely appeal most to users. These features address common concerns with smartwatches—health tracking accuracy and battery life. The Apple Watch Series 10 may not reinvent the wheel, but it refines it, making the experience smoother, faster, and more practical for everyday users.
