Sony Bravia 9 Mini LED television series launched in India

The new lineup is available in two different sizes.

Sony India has announced the BRAVIA 9, its latest Mini LED television series, which includes an XR Backlight Master Drive for vibrant images, deep blacks, and superior contrast. The series is driven by the sophisticated AI Processor XR, which understands how humans perceive sight and sound, resulting in unmatched depth, brilliant contrast, and lifelike colours. The BRAVIA 9 series is available in Studio Calibrated mode, Prime Video Calibrated mode, and IMAX enhanced with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. It also supports PS5 gaming, including Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Game Mode, as well as Acoustic Multi-Audio+ for rich cinematic surround sound.

Sony claims that its new BRAVIA 9 Mini LED television series is the brightest 4K television series to date. It uses a unique local dimming algorithm to accurately manage hundreds of LEDs, delivering realistic contrast and preserving shadow detail in even the most demanding scenes.

The BRAVIA 9 series also provides a smart user experience powered by Google TV, which includes access to 400,000 movies, TV programs, and 10,000 apps and games.
The BRAVIA 9 series is a high-performance television with an immersive viewing experience, similar to the backlight control technology found in Sony’s professional monitors for filmmakers. It includes the XR Backlight Master Drive, which accurately manages thousands of LEDs to offer accurate contrast and shadow detail in even the most demanding scenarios. The TVs come in two screen sizes: 189 cm (75) and 215 cm (85) and are equipped with a powerful AI Processor XR, which revolutionises viewing by understanding human vision and hearing. This processor has a scene recognition system that identifies and analyses data with high precision, optimising the image for maximum realism.

The BRAVIA 9 series includes Studio Calibrated mode, which provides image-quality film content as intended by the creators, straight in your home in addition to the previously mentioned Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode and SONY PICTURES CORE (formerly BRAVIA CORE) Calibrated Mode. It also supports Prime Video Calibrated Mode, which automatically adjusts the visual quality for movies, shows, and live sports. The BRAVIA 9 series is IMAX-enhanced and supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, resulting in superior brightness, greater contrast, richer colours, and immersive audio.

The BRAVIA 9 series also includes SONY PICTURES CORE, an exclusive platform that gives users access to a wide collection of Sony Pictures films, including 4K HDR and IMAX Enhanced titles. Customers will receive 10 free credits for 24 months to stream films in 4K Blu-ray quality with IMAX Enhanced graphics.

It has Auto HDR Tone Mapping for improved contrast and colour accuracy, as well as Auto Game Mode for low lag and fast response times. The BRAVIA 9 immediately shifts to Game Mode to eliminate lag and maximise responsiveness, before returning to Standard Mode for more expressive scenes. It supports 4K/120fps, Variable Refresh Rate, and Auto Low Latency Mode.

The price of the 75XR90 model is set at Rs 4,49,990 whereas the 85XR90 variant is available with a price tag of Rs 5,99,990. These models will be available across all Sony Centers, major electronic stores, and e-commerce platforms in the country.
