Sennheiser announced Profile Wireless, an all-in-one microphone system in India

The microphone has an impressive wireless range of up to 245 metres.

Sennheiser has unveiled Profile Wireless, a multipurpose wireless audio system made for videographers and creators. High-quality audio capture is ensured by this two-channel, 2.4 GHz system that may be used as a clip-on microphone, handheld microphone, or tabletop microphone and connects to PCs, smartphones, or cameras.

Speaking about the products, Mr. Vipin Pungalia, Country Manager & Director- Sales Pro Audio at Sennheiser India said “In today’s era of digital media, there are millions of content creators and active content consumers in India. It was important to us that Profile Wireless can master a diverse set of recording requirements while being as compact and portable as possible. The range of use cases for Profile Wireless is impressive.”

The Profile Wireless is a versatile audio capture device with a multifunctional charging bar that may be used as a handheld or desktop microphone. It includes a two-channel mini-receiver with an OLED touch display, pre-paired clip-on microphones, magnetic clips for delicate clothing attachment, and adaptors to connect to mobile phones or camera cold shoe attachments.

The Profile Wireless system has a wireless range of up to 245 meters, providing quality audio even across long distances. It has 16GB of inbuilt memory and can record for up to 30 hours at 24-bit/48kHz resolution. In addition to this, it includes a Backup Recording Mode, which enables internal recording if the wireless signal drops, and a Safety Channel Mode, which records backup audio at a lower volume to avoid clipping. This method is said to maximise the capsule’s dynamic range, resulting in greater sound quality for each shoot.

As per the company, the Profile Wireless is a small 2.4 GHz wireless system with a built-in handheld and a battery life of more than 15 hours. Moreover it allows microphones to be used while charging and has an auto-rotating receiver display, no app required, and a variety of mounting choices. Sennheiser thread mounts offer smooth operations throughout content creation, making Profile Wireless an excellent solution for effective audio recording.

According to Sennheiser the Profile Wireless will be made available for purchase in the Q1 of 2025 at Rs 29900.
