At Mobile World Congress 2025, Infinix unveiled SolarEnergy-Reserving Technology and E-Color Shift 2.0, two new innovations that aim to improve smartphone battery life and aesthetics, strengthening their mission of ‘Empowering Tomorrow with AI, Eco-Tech, and Personalized Innovations’.
Infinix’s SolarEnergy-Reserving Technology is touted as a sustainable and efficient solution for mobile energy management. It optimises light energy with cutting-edge perovskite photovoltaic technology and AI algorithms, making charging more efficient and adaptive to various situations. The technique collects light energy from both indoor and outdoor sources and stores it inside a prototype smartphone and phone case. AI-driven algorithms fine-tune power acquisition in real time, allowing for efficient energy storage of up to 2W, with room for further growth.

According to the company, “Sunflower” Wireless Charging Technology, which is inspired by heliotropic plants, employs AI-driven light positioning and transmission mechanisms to assure efficient power reception within a 3-meter ideal range. Future updates attempt to broaden the range and improve precision based on indoor lighting and device position.
Using this method, the device provides prolonged standby power by self-optimizing energy gathering and storing electricity from indoor lighting to cloudy outside circumstances. It also combines AI and MPPT to control voltage and current in harsh conditions, preventing overheating and degradation.
Infinix’s AI-powered photovoltaic self-charging technology provides emergency power in the event of a power loss or an emergency. The technology is expanding beyond smartphones to digital gadgets and wearables.
Infinix has also launched E-Color Shift 2.0, an AI-powered customisation experience that modifies smartphone looks. The functionality allows users to customise the appearance of their device by triggering dynamic colour transitions based on their preferences and external stimuli. Users can choose from six dynamic patterns and six vibrant colour palettes, resulting in up to 30 different combinations. The AI-Recognize Mode dynamically adapts the phone’s back cover based on the weather, wallpapers, and surroundings to provide a consistent aesthetic experience. E-Color Shift 2.0 moves Infinix closer to the widespread adoption of interactive, AI-powered smartphone customisation.
