After months of apprehension, Apple will unveil the new MacBook Air M4 this week. It is anticipated that the model will keep its existing design while adopting a new processor. It is expected that the laptop, which will be available in 13-inch and 15-inch variants, will replace the MacBook Air M3, which made its debut in March 2024. Additionally, the laptop might be compatible with Apple Intelligence, which is a collection of artificial intelligence (AI) tools.

This week, the Cupertino-based tech giant is anticipated to reveal the new MacBook Air M4. Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, simply revealed a teaser video on X, hinting at the impending debut. But according to reports, Apple is working on a thinner iPhone model that will probably be called the Air, which could also launch at the upcoming event.

Apple plans to release the MacBook Air M4 with a 13-inch and a 15-inch display. It is anticipated that the laptop would use the same Liquid Retina screen, perhaps with Apple’s recently introduced nano-texture layer. It is anticipated that the MacBook Air M4 would improve its support for external displays by enabling it to power the built-in display in addition to two external screens at once when the lid is closed.

With the M4 chip, the MacBook Air M4 will have major enhancements like Neural Engine enhancements and ray tracing. A 12MP front-facing camera, greater storage bandwidth, and two extra CPU cores are probably features of the most recent MacBook Air model.

Initially reported by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg in October 2024, the rumoured CPU upgrade is anticipated to support Apple Intelligence and need at least 8GB of RAM.
