8UPI apps have become mainstream
After announcing demonetisation, the government had launched its UPI app called BHIM that makes it easier for people to make payments as they don’t have to add money to the app’s wallet again and again. The app directly takes money from the bank account of the user to make payments. Following this, a number of other UPI apps were launched including Google Tez, PhonePe and others.
