Samsung’s 2023 mid-ranger, the Galaxy A54, floored us with its camera performance back when we reviewed it. The 50MP primary camera produced brilliant, colour-rich images with a great level of detail. We were particularly impressed by the manner in which the smartphone exposed the sky in different lighting conditions. The photo-processing prowess of this smartphone is one of the best in its class. One UI delivers a solid performance on this smartphone, with Samsung DeX being the only feature that has been held back. Overall, a very solid 2023 midrange smartphone that you should definitely look into.

The smartphone features a 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, a 50MP primary shooter, 80W fast wired charging support, a tri-state alert slider, and more. The glass back on the Nord 3 has a matte texture which feels very premium. This is a pretty solid mid-ranger for watching content and performing everyday tasks. The phone falls a little short on the gaming aspect, but if that isn’t one of your priorities, the Nord 3 is an easy suggestion from us.
