Mivi’s latest TWS release has a lot going for it. The SuperPods Dueto are priced under Rs 2,000, placing them in the budget category, where Mivi primarily operates. These earbuds are powered by ‘Hi-Lo’ dual drivers that consist of a 13mm woofer and 6mm tweeter. Mivi claims that these drivers bring a lot more richness and balance to the soundstage. The SuperPods Dueto are also one of the few Mivi products that are supported by the Mivi Audio companion app. The earbuds also support multi-point connection. These features make the Rs 1,900 price tag seem like a bargain. Excited to see whether the earbuds live up to the specs they flaunt on paper, we used them as our primary audio device for almost 2 weeks. Here is our comprehensive review of the Mivi SuperPods Dueto.

Mivi SuperPods Dueto Review: Design
Here’s what you get inside the Mivi SuperPods Dueto retail box:
- Charging case with earbuds inside
- USB Type-A to Type-C charging cable
- 2 pairs of extra ear tips
- Product info and quick start guide
Mivi SuperPods Dueto’s charging case has a circular form factor with rounded edges. The body of this case is all plastic and the top panel has a very glossy finish. This top panel attracts fingerprints and smudges quite easily and is also prone to scratches when the case is placed in pockets with keys and loose change.
Even though the charging case is compact, opening it with one hand is quite an ordeal. This is largely due to its round shape and tight hinge. There is an indentation at the bottom of the lid which makes this process easier. At the bottom of this recess are four small LED notification lights that display the level of charge left in the case. The USB charging port is placed below the hinge.
The earbuds follow the traditional in-ear design language. The stems of the earbuds have the same finish as the top panel of the charging case. We found the fit to be snug and comfortable. There was minimal ear fatigue after extended use. The touch controls are tuned nicely but accidental touches are still common. However, the extended length of the stem makes it easy to avoid the touch-sensitive areas while adjusting the position of the earbuds.
Mivi SuperPods Dueto carry an IPX4 rating for dust and water resistance. We used the earbuds while working out and did not face any issues with the fit or performance. The SuperPods powered through when things got sweaty. However, adjusting their position and using the touch controls can be tricky with sweaty hands.
Mivi SuperPods Dueto Review: Performance
Delivering the audio output on the Mivi SuperPods Dueto are Hi-Lo dual drivers that consist of a 13mm woofer and a 6mm tweeter. The earbuds support Bluetooth 5.3 and multi-device connectivity. There’s also support for Siri and Google Assistant onboard.
The Hi-Lo dual drivers certainly make their presence felt on the SuperPods Dueto’s soundstage. The overall output is balanced and does not focus too much on the low-end frequencies. The mids and the highs are well-represented on the soundstage, resulting in a rich listening experience. We listened to a diverse range of genres and were impressed with the Dueto’s versatility.
While playing Sonic Youth’s Daydream Nation, the Mivi SuperPods Dueto produced a thumping output that did justice to the refined basslines. The crispiness of the guitar riffs and the clapper hits were relayed perfectly as well. Playing Sufjan Stevens’ Carrie and Lowell, the earbuds produced a much more nuanced output that did justice to the mellowness of the album. However, on higher volume levels we did notice some distortion.
Mivi SuperPods Dueto are also supported by the brand’s companion app. The only catch is that you need to register your phone number on the app. Once your profile is set up, you can use this app to remap the touch controls, customise the equaliser, and access features like volume booster, gaming mode, kids mode, and find my device.
In gaming mode, the earbuds drop down to 50ms latency. We played Call of Duty Mobile with the SuperPods Dueto on and did not encounter any audio lag. The audio relayed by the earbuds stayed consistent with the visuals on the screen. The calling experience on the SuperPods Dueto is facilitated by AI ENC, which suppresses the background noise and efficiently extracts the caller’s voice. However, the background noise seeps in quite easily while calling in an outdoor environment.
On a full charge, the earbuds offer 8 hours of playtime. The case stores an additional 42 hours worth of charge, taking the total playback time to 50 hours. During the review period, we used the Mivi SuperPods Dueto for listening to music, watching movies, video calling, and even a bit of gaming. On an average daily usage of 5-7 hours, it took 8 days for the case to run out of charge. Using a USB Type-C cable takes 90 minutes to fully charge the device.

Verdict
The Mivi SuperPods Dueto deliver a balanced audio output, which is a nice respite from the bass-oriented soundstages commonly found in this price category. Multi-point connectivity is also a great feature to have at this price point. However, what truly separates the SuperPods Dueto from its peers is the companion app support from Mivi. The companion app makes it possible to remap the controls and personalise the equaliser to a profile that suits your taste.
