To initiate or receive a voice on WhatsApp Desktop, you will require an uninterrupted internet connection on your system and smartphone plus a microphone. Follow these steps.
1) Ensure that your computer’s microphone is enabled as WhatsApp Desktop uses the microphone as the input device.
2) If your computer does not have an in-built microphone, connect an external microphone and select it in the settings:Â Start > Settings > System > Sounds.
3) Open the WhatsApp Desktop application on your computer.
4) Select the chat of the contact who you want to voice call.
5) Click the Voice call icon that resembles a telephone.
How to make a video call using WhatsApp Desktop?
To initiate or receive a voice on WhatsApp Desktop, you will require an uninterrupted internet connection on your system and smartphone plus a microphone and a webcam. Follow these steps.
1) Ensure that your webcam is enabled. To allow your computer to access the camera, follow Start > Settings > Privacy > Camera. In Allow access to the camera on this device, if Camera access for this device is disabled, select Change and turn on Camera access for this device.
2) Open the WhatsApp Desktop application on your computer.
3) Select the chat of the contact who you want to video call.
5) Click the Video call icon that resembles a camcorder.
