Today Instagram has added a new music feature to its Instagram Reels called “1 Minute Music.” It is a collection of music tracks and videos that are only available on its platform and can be used on Reels and Stories. This includes music from 200 Indian artists that will enhance your Instagram content and inspire other artists to release one-minute music on the platform as well.
Instagram has launched a new music property called ‘1 Minute Music,’ which is a set of music tracks and videos, exclusively available on its platform, for use on Reels and Stories. This includes music from 200 Indian artists, including Dhvani Bhanushali, Neeti Mohan, Shaan, Himanshi Khurana, Aniruth, and GV Prakaash Kumar, that will enhance your Instagram content and inspire other musicians to release one-minute music on the platform as well.
Paras Sharma, Director, Content & Community Partnerships, Facebook India (Meta), says, “Music is a catalyst for trends on Instagram today. In fact, Reels is becoming the platform for people to discover music and artists too. With ‘1 Minute Music’, we’re now giving people access to an exclusive set of tracks they could use to make their reels more entertaining. We’re also hoping this platform serves as a paradigm for established and emerging artists to share their own music and create their own videos, all on Reels.”
The property will feature music from artists all over India, so it will appeal to everyone in India who uses Instagram. This includes Dhvani Bhanushali, Neeti Mohan, and Shaan from Hindi, Jassie Gill, Himashi Khurana, and Gurnaam Bhullar from Punjabi, and Aniruth, Sivaangi, and GV Prakaash Kumar from Tamil. The music will be accompanied by music videos that will be exclusively available on Instagram. Himanshi Khurana, Kaur B, and Gurnazar Chattha have all released music in the last ten days.
Believe, a music distribution and artist services company collaborated with Instagram on this project. “Reels is a core part of our plans, as we look to engage audiences for our artists and immerse their songs in pop culture,” says Vivek Raina, Managing Director – India, Believe. I’m glad Instagram recognised this artist’s behaviour and came up with #1MinMusic, which is a very relevant, new-age music genre today. We hope that this gives emerging and established artists the structure they need to understand how to think about short-form videos. We’re happy to have collaborated on this with Instagram.”
