Some said that Apple will be launching its upgraded iPads and some talked about subscriptions. Apple took a different route this time. Apple took wraps off its much-anticipated News+ subscription that comes with over 300 magazines and includes the likes of Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, Wired, The New Yorker and more. The service costs $9.99 a month and will be first made available in the United States and Canada, followed by the United Kingdom and Australia. Apple has promised to maintain user privacy, saying that advertisers would not be able to track subscribers’ activity.
