The new Acer Chromebook Vero 514 was unveiled today by Acer. It is the first Chromebook in the company’s line of environmentally conscious Vero devices. The company is said to be committed to sustainability by giving consumers and business customers more options to lessen their ecological footprint.
Because it is simple to upgrade, repair, disassemble, and recycle, the new Acer Chromebook Vero 514 (CBV514-1H/T) has a deliberate design that considers the full product lifespan.
With 30% of its chassis and screen bezel made of PCR plastic and 50% of its keycaps and speakers made of the material, the new Acer Chromebook Vero 514 extensively incorporates its use. Additionally, by employing ocean-bound plastics for its internal fan housing and OceanGlass touchpad, which has a smooth, glass-like texture and a responsive tactile feel, the Chromebook helps reduce the amount of plastic waste that ends up in the ocean.
The use of regular screws on the bottom cover has made it easier to do maintenance and updates on the memory and storage. The distinctive appearance comprises a 99% recyclable display panel and a paint-free chassis with a cobblestone grey finish. The MIL-STD 810H testing requirements are met by the Acer Chromebook Vero 514’s impact-resistant exterior, which has a reinforced construction that shields it from drops up to 122 cm high (48 inches).
As for specifications, The Acer Chromebook Vero 514 is powered by the newest 12th Gen Intel Core CPUs with Intel Iris Xe graphics. An 88% screen-to-body ratio is achieved by the Acer Chromebook Vero 514’s slim bezel design. On the new Chromebook, high-quality video conferencing is possible thanks to the full HD flare-reducing webcam and DTS audio with Smart Amplifier.
The Chromebook Vero 514, connects to a variety of devices and displays. It has a quick and dependable Wi-Fi 6E. Through its assortment of ports, which includes two USB Type-C, USB 3.2 Type-A, and HDMI, it also offers charging capabilities.
The Acer Chromebook Enterprise Vero 514 equips enterprise users with various ChromeOS business capabilities. In the US, the Acer Chromebook Vero 514 (CBV514-1H/T) laptop will go on sale in October for $ 499.99; in EMEA, it will go on sale in November for EUR 599.
