Acer unveiled the refreshed Nitro Lineup at IFA 2025

The firm has introduced new PCs and displays for casual gamers.

Acer has updated its Nitro series with new PCs and screens designed for casual gamers. The Acer Nitro V 16 gaming laptop and Acer Nitro V 16S are both powerful laptops that have Intel Core 9 CPUs and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPUs. The gaming PCs are equipped with AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D CPUs and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs, as well as Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and powerful Acer Nitro CycloneX 360 cooling systems. Four new Nitro series monitors provide excellent image quality and fast refresh rates for intense gaming.

The Acer Nitro V 16 has a WQXGA display with 100% sRGB colour coverage and a refresh rate of 180 Hz, resulting in rich graphics and smooth animation, while its dual-fan, quad-intake, and quad-exhaust cooling system provides consistent performance throughout long gaming sessions.

The Acer Nitro V 16 is a strong gaming laptop featuring an Intel Core 9 CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. The NVIDIA Blackwell architecture enables smooth gameplay and streaming capabilities. The GPUs also include AI horsepower, which allows for new experiences and higher graphical fidelity. NVIDIA DLSS 4 and NVIDIA Studio are available for multitasking, while NVIDIA NIM Microservices offers powerful AI models for developing AI assistants, agents, and processes. Intel Application Optimisation improves application performance by allocating resources in real time.

The Acer Nitro V 16 (ANV16-72) will be available in North America in October, starting at USD 999.99, and in EMEA in November, starting at EUR 1,299.

The Acer Nitro V 16S (ANV16S-71) will be available in North America in November, starting at USD 1,099.99; in EMEA in November, starting at EUR 1,399, and in Australia in September, starting at AUD 2,599.

Acer has introduced two new gaming desktops, the Nitro 70 and Nitro 50, aimed at extreme gamers and enthusiasts. The Nitro 70 is powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, which produce 3,352 AI TOPS and support up to 128 GB DDR5 6000 MT/s RGB RAM and up to 2 TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage. The Nitro 50 has comparable specifications, including an AMD Ryzen 7 8700G CPU, NVIDIA RTX 5080 GPU, 128 GB DDR5 5200 MT/s RGB RAM, and up to a 2 TB M.2 PCIe SSD. Both gaming rigs use the proprietary Acer Nitro CycloneX 360 cooling technology, which provides up to 15% greater airflow.

Other features include Wi-Fi 7, Acer Intelligence Space, and EMI-compliant tempered glass casings with customisable ARGB lighting. The 45L chassis is built from 65% post-consumer recycled plastic.

The Acer Nitro 70 (N70X3D-100) will be available in EMEA in December, starting at EUR 1,999.

Acer has announced four new high-resolution Nitro monitors, the Nitro XV275K V6, Nitro XV273U W1, Nitro XV270X, and Nitro XZ403CKR, all of which provide gamers with immersive visuals. The Nitro XV275K V6 features a 27-inch 4K UHD display with a refresh rate of 180 Hz, 1 ms Visual Response Boost Pro, and AMD FreeSync Premium technology. It has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and supports a 97% DCI-P3 colour gamut with 1.07 billion colours. The displays also include twin HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports, making them suitable for gaming and multimedia applications.

The Nitro XV273U W1 is a 27-inch WQHD monitor that can be overclocked to 275 Hz and has a VRB Pro response time of 1 ms. It is VESA DisplayHDR 500 certified, with a peak brightness of 500 nits and 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. It has AMD FreeSync Premium for smooth gameplay.

The Nitro XV270X supports up to 5K resolution, has a 2,000:1 contrast ratio, a 1 ms VRB response time, and a 95% DCI-P3 colour gamut. It comes with two 2-watt speakers.

The Nitro XZ403CKR features a 39.7-inch 1000R curved display with 5K WUHD resolution. It supports Dynamic Frequency Resolution (DFR) as well as wide full HD (WFHD) resolution at 288 Hz. It has a 1 ms VRB and 0.5 ms GTG reaction time, AMD FreeSync Premium, powerful 5W speakers, and an array of ports.

The Acer Nitro XV273U W1 will be available in North America in Q1’2026, starting at USD 299.99; in EMEA in Q2’2026, starting at EUR 279, and in China in Q1’2026, starting at RMB 1,999.

The Acer Nitro XV270X will be available in North America in Q1’2026, starting at USD 899.99; in EMEA in Q1’2026, starting at EUR 699; in China in Q1’2026, starting at RMB 4,999, and in Australia in Q1’2026, starting at AUD 1,499.

The Acer Nitro XZ403CKR will be available in North America in Q1’2026, starting at USD 999.99; in EMEA in Q1’2026, starting at EUR 999; in China in Q1’2026, starting at RMB 7,999, and in Australia in Q1’2026, starting at AUD 1,899.
