Airtel tied up with Uber and will provide free Wi-Fi to its rider

Bharti Airtel and Uber have announced a first-of-its-kind strategic partnership in India. Now across India, Uber riders can pay for their trips using the mobile wallet service – Airtel Money. The first one in India to enjoy free high-speed internet from Uber, powered by Airtel 4G. This service will soon be rolled out for Uber riders all over India.

Now, Uber riders can enjoy the convenience of paying through their Airtel Money wallets, while also experiencing the power of blazing internet speeds with Airtel 4G on the move. We are excited that Uber has chosen Airtel to fulfill its telecom needs, and look forward to supporting the company’s rapid growth across India.”

Uber is the first technology partner to officially launch Airtel Money and this will provide rider with free payment option. New Uber riders who recharge their Airtel Money wallet will get up to Rs 500 for free. This scheme is there for a limited time only. Starting from Mumbai, every Uber cab in India will soon be equipped with free WiFi, powered by Airtel 4G. Seems like, Uber and Airtel plan to attract more consumers towards high-speed internet and easy transportation.
