Amazon published its Fire TV streaming trends report for 2022 in India. The report shares information on how Indian viewers used Fire TV devices to access video in 2022. As per the report, Fire TV viewers have enjoyed the content in more than 12 languages, with Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Bengali coming in the first place. Whereas Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Alia Bhatt were the actors most frequently searched for using Alexa on Fire TV devices, the survey said.
According to the Amazon Fire TV Streaming Trends Report 2022, there is a 10% rise in the number of Fire TV units sold across the nation. The report claims that Indian households spent four hours every day binge-watching and streaming entertainment content.

In the past year, regional material has become more popular. Fire TV customers have had access to content in more than 12 different languages, with Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Bengali leading the list.
According to Amazon Fire TV Streaming Trends Report 2022, Indians used Alexa to do six queries on Fire TV every second. The most streamed type of content in India last year was a comedy, indicating that people there are drawn to finding more humour in their lives. The next two most popular genres were horror and cartoons. The top three movies on Fire TV in 2022 were Brahmastra, The Kashmir Files, and Pushpa: The Rise. The top three actors in Alexa’s list of most-searched actors on Fire TV were Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Alia Bhatt, proving once again that they continue to rule the hearts of millions of movie fans.
For the second consecutive year, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, Anupama, and Indian Idol were the most frequently searched for content on Fire TV. The three kid-friendly brands most frequently searched on the platform were Motu Patlu, Peppa Pig, and Doraemon.
According to Amazon’s report, the growth of online content resulted in a 44% increase in users of free content platforms. The most popular platforms for streaming free material were MX Player, Mini TV, and YouTube.

The T20 World Cup, as well as new content releases for films and web series like Ram Setu, Doctor G, Mismatched Season 2, The Rings of Power – Season Finale, Four More Shots Please! – Season 3, Maja Ma, The Peripheral, Jurassic World Dominium, and The White Lotus, among others, contributed to October’s record-breaking levels of video streaming for the year.
The biggest viewing on a single day was seen during India vs. Pakistan T20 World Cup match on October 23, 22.
A 10X spike in JioCinema streaming on Fire TV was brought on by the FIFA World Cup.
