Customers will be charged 50 percent more for Amazon Prime membership beginning tomorrow that is December 14. The Amazon Prime service’s monthly, quarterly, and annual subscription plans will all be affected by the update, the benefits of the subscription have not changed.
According to the webpage, the new Amazon Prime membership pricing in India will take effect at 12 a.m. on December 14th. It says, “Since the launch 5 years ago in India, Prime has continued to increase the value it offers members. Prime provides an unparalleled combination of shopping, savings and entertainment benefits to make life more convenient and entertaining every single day, and we continue to invest in making Prime even more valuable for customers.”
However, customers can continue to use the old price until the new price is announced. Existing Prime members will be unaffected by the change, as they will be able to use their membership for the remainder of their subscription period at no additional cost.
So from tomorrow onward, the customers will pay 50 percent more for Prime membership. As per the new price revision, the annual membership plan which was earlier available at Rs 999 will now be accessible at Rs 1,499. In a similar way, its monthly plan will be available at Rs 179 up from Rs 129. And the quarterly plan price is now being raised to Rs 459 from Rs 329.

Members also get Prime Early Access to sale events, new product launches, and Lightning Deals, as well as access to Prime Day, our global shopping event.
