In the past, we have learnt a lot about the Apple mysterious augmented reality glasses. There have been lots of rumours and leaks related to the company AR glasses. Some said that it would be coming with a look similar to Facebooks’s Oculus Quest and some said it will be available by 2022. But now the tipster has shared a lot of details about the Apple upcoming device. First of all Apple’s rumoured augmented reality will be known as Apple Glass.
In a YouTube video, by a tipster, Jon Prosser revealed that Apple’s alleged AR glasses will be called Apple Glass. In his YouTube video, he has discussed several leaks and revealed a bunch of important details such as the design, availability, and features of the Apple Glass. According to him, the AR glasses will be available in multiple variants and the base model is most likely to be priced at $499.
The Apple Glasses are said to arrive in the Q4 2020 but it might get delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis. Prosser claims that Apple might delay the scheduled event to March 2021 and the AR devices are expected to hit the shelves between Q4 2021 and Q1 2022.
In addition to this, he also discussed the design aspects of the rumoured Apple Glasses in his YouTube video. He claims that the glasses will be identical to regular glasses. In his video, he showcased that the company will be using plastic in place of glass which is going to be made from a different material. The Apple Glass is speculated to come with the wireless charging option accompanied by a plastic charging stand. To charge it the user will have to flip it upside down to be positioned on the charging stand. However, he also stated that the final design of the glasses might also change but the company will go with the standard glasses design.
In his video, Prosser revealed that the processing for Apple Glass will be managed by the connected iPhone that is said to come with an affordable price. In addition to this, there is going to be a LiDAR sensor on the right temple and there will be no cameras on the Apple Glass taking care of the privacy. The information will be visible on both the lenses of the device. Apple will be using “Starboard” UI to control the gestures on the frame along with air gestures in the front of the augmented reality glasses. Moreover, the displayed information will only be visible to the wearer not to other people.
