Asus ROG Phone 3 8GB variant to go on sale in India today via Flipkart

The device is available in two variant 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM options

Earlier in July this year, the Taiwan based company announced Asus ROG Phone 3 in India. The gaming smartphone was unveiled for Rs 49,999. Today the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage variant is going on its second sale in the country. However, the smartphone is available in another variant but according to the company, this configuration will be available exclusively via Flipkart today. The handset includes a 144Hz refresh rate display and is powered by Snapdragon 865+ SoC.

The 8GB RAM model of Asus ROG Phone 3 is set to go on sale in India today. The Sale will go live exclusively on Flipkart starting at 12 noon onwards. The gaming device is priced at Rs 49,999 which comes in a single Black colour option. There will be several discounts to choose from. In addition to this, the company will also put ROG TwinView Dock 3 Gamepad and AeroActive cooler Gamepad via the portal priced at Rs 19,999 and Rs 2,999 respectively.

Asus ROG Phone 3 specifications

Asus ROG Phone 3 comes with a 6.59-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display having 1,080×2,340 pixels of resolution with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display has a refresh rate of 144Hz with a 270Hz touch sampling rate, and HDR10+ support protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 6 with TUV Low Blue Light solution to reduce flicker. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC, along with Adreno 650 GPU clubbed with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of onboard UFS 3.1 storage.

For optics, there is a triple rear camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary sensor, a 13-megapixel 125-degree ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5-megapixel macro lens. In addition to this on the front, it sports a 24-megapixel selfie camera sensor.

The phone also includes ultrasonic sensors for the AirTrigger 3 and grip press features. Moreover, there are dual front-facing speakers with ROG GameFX and Dirac HD Sound technologies support. The smartphone also includes quad microphones with Asus Noise Reduction technology. The gaming device is backed up by a 6,000mAh battery supported by 30W fast charging tech.

For connectivity ROG Phone 3 includes G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS/ NavIC, USB Type-C, and a 48-pin side port. While the sensors onboard include accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, a proximity sensor and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
