Asus has introduced the ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X handheld gaming devices in India, making them the company’s first Xbox-branded portable products. The ROG Ally X is powered by an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme CPU, and both variants include a 7-inch LCD screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and an ergonomic design similar to the Xbox Wireless Controller. Customers who pre-order will receive one year of GamePass Ultimate for free.
The Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X will be available at starting prices of ₹69,990 and ₹1,14,990, respectively. Pre-orders for these devices have commenced and will remain open from 2:00 PM on October 7 until late evening on October 16, along with offers that include 1 Year Xbox Gamepass Ultimate and ROG Slash Sling Bag worth up to Rs 16,947* starting at Rs 499. Customers are able to pre-order through various platforms, including ASUS & ROG Exclusive Stores, ASUS Eshop, Amazon, Vijay Sales, and other Authorised ASUS partners. Both models are expected to be available in retail stores beginning late evening on October 16, 2025.
Both Xbox Ally versions are supposed to be similar to their conventional Asus-branded equivalents, with one noteworthy exception: contoured handles that accommodate a wide range of hand sizes. They have typical ABXY buttons similar to those seen on Xbox Wireless controllers. An Xbox button also provides quick access to numerous tasks such as apps, chats, and settings, which is made possible by an updated Game Bar overlay.

The Ally and Ally X have 7-inch full HD LCD panels with a refresh rate of 120Hz and peak brightness of up to 500 nits. These displays are intended to improve the gaming experience by utilising AMD FreeSync Premium technology, which seeks to reduce screen tearing for a smoother visual experience. The devices are also covered by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which ensures durability, and the DXC Anti-Reflection coating lowers reflections, adding improved visibility in a variety of lighting settings.
The standardAlly features an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and 512GB of built-in storage, making it ideal for gamers who require efficient performance. The Ally X, on the other hand, has more powerful capabilities thanks to an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme SoC. This updated edition is further enhanced with 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and a higher 1TB storage capacity, making it ideal for those who want more performance and storage for intense gaming sessions.
