The next flagship smartphone from Asus will be ZenFone 6 and the handset is all set to be launched on May 16 in Valencia, Spain. The AnTuTu listing has revealed that the upcoming Asus Zenfone 6 will be powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC.

Prior to this, the handset was also leaked last month on the Wi-Fi alliance listing where we saw that it had received the Wi-Fi certification. Asus Zenfone 6 was also spotted recently on the Geekbench with the same model number as we saw on Wi-Fi alliance listing – ASUS_I01WD. There are leaks that also suggest that the smartphone will most likely be called the ZenFone 6Z. The listing on AnTuTu also has the same model number and has given away some of the main details of the upcoming device from Asus. The listing was first spotted by MySmartPrice.

AnTuTu leaks reveal that Asus ZenFone 6 will be powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 SoC paired with Adreno 640 GPU. The device’s base variant will reportedly have 6GB of RAM clubbed with 128GB of storage. Although the display resolution has not been mentioned in the listing, it could be a 1080 x 2340 pixels’ resolution display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.

According to the listing, the score the handset has gotten on AnTuTu is 3,63,172. The score of the smartphone is good enough but it is lower than previously launched phones like the Xiaomi’s Mi 9 Transparent Edition which currently tops the AnTuTu score ranks. But it should also be noted that there is still a month before the launch of the device so the final product might have a better score than what it has now. Also, we should mention here that some smartphones cheat in benchmark scores, so we never consider these values as a way of deciding if the handset performs well or not.

To recall, Asus Zenfone 5Z was launched in multiple RAM and storage variants last year, and we can see the company doing the same with Zenfone 6. There is also a possibility that we could see multiple variants of the device itself like Zenfone 6 and Zenfone 6Z.

Other than the AnTuTu score and the main specifications of Zenfone 6, no other details of the smartphone are available. But we do know that the handset will come without a notch as it was shown in the teaser image of the Zenfone 6. The absence of notch could mean that the device might come with a pop-up selfie camera, but we will have to wait to find that out.
