It has also been announced today that India has plans to ease local sourcing rules in single-brand retail. According to various analysts, this move will help technology companies like Apple, OnePlus and Oppo who wish to set up their own stores in India. The move is meant for getting higher foreign investments at a time when global FDI has slid from 13% in 2018 to $1.3 trillion from $1.5 trillion.
