4Enhancing internet connectivity with BharatNet
Sitharaman also said that under the government plans to bridge the rural-urban digital divide with BharatNet and aims to provide internet connectivity in local bodies in every Panchayat in the country. The efforts will be speeded up with assistance from Universal Obligation Fund.
