CMF Phone 1 design teased, launch imminent

Notably, the company has not confirmed the India launch.

The Nothing sub-brand’s first smartphone, the CMF Phone 1, is scheduled to debut soon. The company has revealed a crucial design detail and officially confirmed the launch. According to earlier rumours, the CMF Phone 1 might be a rebranded version of the March-introduced Nothing Phone 2a, but with a very different look.

In a post on X.COM, CMF indicated that the CMF Phone 1 is “coming soon,” implying that it will launch as an entry-level smartphone. The company has shared a teaser image of the CMF Phone 1 revealing an orange faux-leather panel with a circular dial at a corner, similar to the one found on the CMF Buds charging case.

All CMF Phone 1 teasers and leaks have lacked the Glyph interface, which is included on all Nothing smartphones, including the Phone 2a.

The Phone 1 was reportedly leaked earlier, and it was implied that this model will be an entry-level product in the country, costing roughly Rs 12,000 too. Nevertheless, no other information regarding the phone has been revealed by the firm.

CMF Phone 1 specifications expected

According to a tipster, CMF Phone 1 will have a plastic frame and is likely to include a vegan leather or polycarbonate back panel. It is said to have a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s suggested that the bezels might be thicker even though they’re tipped to be symmetrical. It might run on a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC and 6GB of RAM along with 128GB and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage options. Additionally, a microSD card will allow for expansion. The smartphone has 6GB+2GB RAM, and it also indicated a potential expanded RAM option.

There may also be a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front. Additionally, it has been speculated that the Phone 1 could have a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging.
