With the unprecedented global crisis owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, news is rife that Samsung Electronics Co Ltd is likely to discontinue its premium Galaxy Note smartphone in 2021. A latest report has revealed that Samsung is planning to initiate this step after registering a steep decline in demand for high-end smartphones as people across the world are facing the brunt of the coronavirus pandemic.

A Reuters report has notified that Samsung is not willing to manufacture a new version of the Galaxy Note for the next year. Mind you! Reuters hasn’t revealed about the source of this information as there is no official announcement of this plan.

The report further quoted Tom Kang, a research analyst at Counterpoint, who stated Samsung’s Note series sales are expected to reduce by a fifth to 8 million this year. On the other hand, sales of the S series are likely to slump by 5 million to less than 30 million.

Recently, Samsung has also unveiled the latest smartphone models: the Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02s, making innovative solutions even more accessible to users. Both smartphones are equipped with durable batteries, a versatile set of cameras and large displays for easier viewing.
