Game of Thrones’ final season is just days away now and we can’t be more excited about it. Amid all this, music streaming app Spotify has unveiled a rock-influenced playlist ‘Game of Thrones: The End Is Coming’. The app collaborated with Game of Thrones co-creators David Benioff, DB Weiss to create the playlist and we should mention that it was earlier known as the ‘Songs of Ice and Fire.’
Spotify has also shared that all the Game of Thrones soundtracks and related playlists on its platforms have been streamed 380 million times since January 1, 2016. This goes to show how much the fans love the music of the show. In addition to this, over 2,50,000 listeners have created their own Game of Thrones-themed playlists and a lot of them even have character playlists. These character playlists also give us an idea about who is the most loved character of Game of Thrones: Tyrion Lannister. Yes, it is he who has the most number of playlists – 7,700 to be precise.
It is also worth pointing out that people’s interest in listening to podcasts related to Game of Thrones has also gone up. Listeners have spent almost 1.8 million hours listening to podcasts with Game of Thrones in the title.
