GOBOULT Launches Mustang GT20 and GT40 Speakers in India

One of India's fastest-growing audio brand just dropped two speakers that rev up the portable audio category with genuine Ford Mustang design DNA

If someone told you a speaker could make you feel like you’re behind the wheel of a Mustang before you’ve even pressed play, you’d probably raise an eyebrow. GOBOULT, one of India’s fastest-growing audio and wearable brands, is betting that you’ll raise both eyebrows once you see the new Mustang GT20 and GT40 Bluetooth speakers, officially launched today on May 5, 2026. These are not your average Bluetooth speakers with a fancy sticker slapped on the side. Built through an official global partnership with Ford’s iconic Mustang brand, the GT20 and GT40 are designed from the ground up to carry genuine automotive-inspired design details, right down to ignition-style controls and fuel-gauge battery indicators.

What Exactly Are These Speakers?

The Mustang GT20 is a 20W portable Bluetooth speaker, and the GT40 steps it up to a beefy 40W output. Both feature dual dynamic drivers paired with a passive bass radiator, a combination that audio enthusiasts will recognise as a solid approach to achieving deeper, fuller low-end sound from a compact enclosure. Both models also support Bluetooth 6.0, TWS mode for dual-speaker pairing, multi-compatibility (Bluetooth, TF card, and USB), and IPX4 water resistance. Battery life on both sits at up to 7 hours of playback.

The Design Is Where Things Get Interesting

GOBOULT has not simply licensed the Mustang name and moved on. The design collaboration goes considerably deeper than badge placement. The GT20 comes with a premium leather-textured exterior, metallic race grille, dynamic RGB underbody DRLs (yes, like undercarriage lighting on a car), and an ignition-inspired shift-stick controller that triggers a Mustang-style ignition roar when you power it on. That last detail is either the coolest thing you’ve heard all week or the most gloriously unnecessary, depending entirely on your personality type.

The GT40 brings even more automotive drama to the table with dedicated metallic tuning knobs for bass, treble, and volume, a signature leatherette carrying strap, body corner protectors, and a fuel-gauge battery bar that gives your power level a satisfyingly analogue feel. Colours available across the range are Turbo Ice and Turbo Black for the GT20, and Apex Black and Oxford White for the GT40.

Pricing That Is Hard to Argue With

The GT20 launches at a special introductory price of Rs 2,999, with a market operating price of Rs 3,999 and an MRP of Rs 7,999. The GT40 launches at Rs 3,999, with an MOP of Rs 5,999 and an MRP of Rs 9,999. For speakers with this level of design ambition and brand collaboration, those numbers are genuinely competitive, particularly in India’s mid-range portable speaker segment, which has become increasingly crowded.

Both speakers are available starting today on GOBOULT’s official website and across major Indian e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, Flipkart, and Myntra.

Why This Partnership Actually Makes Sense

The Indian audio market has been quietly transforming over the past few years. Consumers, particularly younger urban buyers, are increasingly treating speakers the way they treat sneakers or watches, as objects of personal expression and identity. Varun Gupta, Co-founder of GOBOULT, acknowledged this shift directly, noting that differentiation in today’s market can no longer come from specifications alone and that design, materiality, and emotional ownership are becoming central to buying decisions.

Partnering with Mustang, a brand that has cultivated a global identity built entirely around aspiration, performance, and emotional connection, is a smart strategic play. It gives GOBOULT a distinct lane in a market full of speakers that look more or less identical, and it gives Mustang fans a genuinely unique piece of branded merchandise that actually does something useful.

The GOBOULT Mustang GT20 and GT40 are not trying to out-spec the competition. They are trying to out-personality it, and on that front, they might just succeed. If you have ever wanted your speaker to announce your arrival as dramatically as a V8 engine does, GOBOULT might have built exactly the product you did not know you needed.
