Pixel Watch 3 Specifications

The Pixel Watch 3 is a smartwatch with two display sizes: 41mm and 45mm, featuring Google’s Actua display instead of the previous AMOLED screen. It has a peak brightness of 2,000 nits and can adapt to as low as 1 nit in dark environments. The 45mm watch has 40% more screen, while the 41mm has 10% more. Both models are more power efficient, with refresh rates ranging from 60Hz to 1Hz. The watch also has Wear OS 5, a hybrid architecture, and machine learning-based sleep detection for Bedtime Mode. Battery Saver Mode increases battery life to 36 hours in both sizes, without compromising health and fitness tracking or safety features.

The Pixel Watch 3 introduces three new features: Daily Readiness, Cardio Load, and Target Load. Daily Readiness analyses recovery biometrics like resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and sleep to provide a comprehensive fitness picture. Cardio Load tracks workouts by measuring heart rate and intensity, and tracks patterns over time to determine if you’re overtraining or under-training.

Users can use the Workout Builder to create custom runs, set distance, time, pace, or heart rate zone goals, and schedule interval runs. The watch provides haptic input and voice instruction, with real-time guidance powered by continuous sampling and machine learning-based heart rate monitoring. The latest version also enhances heart rate detection for the most precise running experience.

The Pixel Watch 3 introduces a new feature called Loss of Pulse Detection, which can detect heart-stopping events affecting people of all ages. This feature can automatically contact emergency agencies and send an automated message. The feature will be available in Europe in September and will be further developed with regulatory agencies.
