Android 11 is here and it is ready to be released to eligible devices. Google’s latest operating system was released last week to Google Pixel 2 and later models globally after officially making a global debut a few months ago. However, the company is yet to release it to newer Pixel devices for the Indian market due to compatibility issues.
In spite of this, many of the Pixel users in the country have complained about the unavailability of the latest software update while most of the users took this issue to its community forum also. However, the company has not revealed the exact reason behind the inaccessibility of the Google Pixel users but it said Before it releases the Android 11 update for the Indian market the company needs to work on it as per the Indian ecosystem requirements here which is most probably to be rolled out this week only.
According to a report in Android Central, the company has restricted the accessibility of the latest OS update might be due to the eSIM functionality of Google Pixel devices as Airtel and Jio both offer eSIM support for Pixel phones but Vi has just launch the eSIM connectivity in India which is only limited to Apple iPhones.
Anyways one the Android 11 is released to the Pixel phones in the India market all you need to do is go to System > Advanced > System update > Check for update. If it has reached your phone then it will show up there otherwise wait until it arrives at your device as the update is said to reach later by this week.
