Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro launch set for today: Here is everything that we know so far

The much-awaited Google Pixel 6 Series is going to launch tonight. The company has set up a Pixel Fall Launch event to unveil its new lineup, which is going to include two devices Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Every year the tech giant tries to come up with something; this time the upcoming smartphones will be armed with Google’s in-house Tensor chipset that will also be the first feature on the Pixel 6 phones.

The expected price of Google Pixel 6 devices

Ahead of the official announcement, the pricing details of Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro for the US and UK were leaked via an online store. Both the devices were spotted listed on Target Store. As per the leaked listing the Google Pixel 6 is likely to be priced at $599 that is roughly around Rs 67,500 for the 128GB storage options. On the other hand, the price of the Pixel 6 Pro is expected to be $898 which translates to Rs 67,500 for the 128GB storage option. However the phone is expected to be offered in more variants, but as of now, we are only aware of the base variant pricing.

Another tipster spotted the upcoming phones on the Amazon UK website. The Google Pixel 6 Pro was listed at GBP 849 for the 128GB memory that converts to Rs 87,800 while the 256Gb storage option will cost GBP 949 which translates to Rs 98,100. According to the tipster both the phones will be available for sale from the very first day of November in the UK.

Google Pixel 6, Google Pixel 6 specification expected

In terms of specification, both the Pixel phone will be featuring Google’s in-house Tensor chipset. Reportedly the Pixel 6 will come with a 6.4-inch OLED display while the Pro variant will feature a 6.7-inch LTP OLED display with adaptive refresh rate support ranging from 10Hz to 120Hz. Both the displays will be guarded with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and will come with an IP68 build for protection against splash and dust.

The leaks also confirm that the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro’s camera set up will include a 50MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultra wide-angle shooter. The main camera is suggested to capture 150% lighter than the previous Pixel 5. The Pro variant will equip a telephoto shooter with 4x optical zoom and up to 20x Super ResZoom. 

The smartphones are also said to come with added features like a Magic eraser that is proficient in eliminating undesired things including people from the captured images.

The Pixel 6 Pro might also support 30W fast charging further it may also offer 23W and 21W wireless charging support.
