Last night at the Apple Wonderlust Event the tech giant unveiled iPhone 15 series, Apple Watch Series 9, and Apple Watch Ultra 2. In addition to this, it also made official the release dates for iOS 17, watchOS 10, iPadOS 17 and macOS Sonoma. In this article, we have mentioned the release date and the compatible devices which are eligible to get the latest software update.

Apple unveiled the new iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, and Apple Watch Series 9 at its iPhone event. At the WWDC 2023 in June of this year, Apple unveiled iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS Sonoma, watchOS 10, and tvOS 17. Now the firm has officially confirmed the dates for the newest operating systems (OS).

At the Apple Event company also revealed that iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 for the iPhone and iPad will be made available as a free software upgrade next week, on Monday, September 18.

Which devices are upgradeable and will be compatible?

According to the company, iOS17 will be made available for the following devices: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone SE (2nd gen or later).

While iPadOS 17 will work with iPad (6th generation and later), iPad mini (5th generation and later), iPad Air (3rd generation and later), 12.9-inch iPad Pro (2nd generation and later), 10.5-inch iPad Pro, and 11-inch iPad Pro (1st generation and after), it will not work with earlier models.

On September 18, watchOS 10 will be accessible for Apple Watch Series 4 and later when connected to an iPhone Xs or later running iOS 17.

macOS Sonoma on the other hand will be released to all compatible Mac computers starting September 26.
