As the whole world is going through the coronavirus crisis the Chinese smartphone companies are going ahead with their launches. Recently OnePlus launched its new OnePlus 8 series and now Honor has also launched its new 30 series. Under the series, the company unveiled three new smartphones- Honor 30, Honor 30 Pro and Honor 30 Pro+ that will go on sale in China from April 21. All the devices come with a rectangular-shaped camera module and a punch-hole design display. Read on to know more about the devices.

Honor 30 series pricing and availability

The Honor 30 smartphone will be available with a price tag of CNY 2,999 (approx Rs 32,400) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, the 8GB RAM with 128GB model comes at CNY 3,199 (approx Rs 34,600) whereas the 8GB RAM with 256GB variant has been priced at CNY 3,499 (approx Rs 37,800).

Honor 30 Pro has been priced at CNY 3,999 (approx Rs 43,200) for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and CNY 4,399 (approx Rs 47,600) for the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage variant. While on the other hand Honor 30 Pro+ will be available for purchase at CNY 4,999 (approx Rs 54,100) for the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage and the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage model is priced at CNY 5,499 (approx Rs 59,500).

All the devices will be offered in four colour options Magic Night Black, Wizard of Oz, Titanium Empty Silver and Neon Purple. So far the company has not revealed its availability for the Indian market, but it is said to go on sale in China on April 21 and will come to India after the lockdown is over.

Honor 30 Specifications

This device runs on Magic UI 3.1.1 based on top of Android 10. It features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ hole-punch display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution. Honor 30 is powered by Kirin 985 chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

The new smartphone comes with a quad rear camera set up that includes a 40-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.4 aperture, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with f/3.4 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, there is a 32-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. Moreover, it houses a 4,000mAh battery with 40W fast charging support.

Honor 30 Pro is powered by the Kirin 990 processor paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It features a 6.57-inch full-HD+ dual hole-punch display with 1,080×2,340 pixels of resolution. 

In terms of camera, the Pro model sports a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 40-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture, a 16-megapixel super-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with f/3.4 aperture. On the front, there is a dual selfie camera setup consisting of a 32-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture.

Honor 30 Pro+ comes with a 6.57-inch full-HD+ dual hole-punch display with 1,080×2,340 pixels of resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, there is a Kirin 990 processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage. The camera details are identical to the Pro model except for a 50-megapixel Sony IMX700 sensor. The device houses a 4,000mAh battery with 40W fast charging with 27W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging support.
