Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has today launched its 8X smartphone in India. The Honor 8X comes with a 6.5-inch display and is the company’s first smartphone in India to be powered by HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC, which is Huawei’s latest processor. Other key highlights of the smartphone include up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. As the name suggests, the new offering by Honor is the successor to Honor 7X and was launched last month in China. Here’s a look at the pricing and the specification details of the newly launched smartphone in India:
Honor 8X price in India
Honor 8X comes in three storage variants in India including 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage, 6GB RAM/64GB onboard storage and 6GB RAM/128GB inbuilt storage. It is available in Black, Blue and Red colour options in the country. While the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant is priced at Rs 14,999, 6GB RAM/128GB storage model costs Rs 18,999, and 6GB RAM/64GB version bears a price tag of Rs 16,999.
At the given price, the smartphone competes with the likes of Vivo V9 Pro, Nokia 6.1 Plus, LG Q7, Xiaomi’s Poco F1 and Oppo F9.
Honor 8X will be available on Amazon India’s website, starting October 24.
Honor 8X specifications
Honor 8X is dual SIM smartphone that features a 6.5-inch fullView display that has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and comes with 2.5D Glass. Honor 8X has a screen to body ratio of 91% and has a double textured design with 15 layers of Aurora glass. Powered by Huawei’s latest octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor clubbed with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM, the smartphone comes in the three storage variants that we mentioned earlier. Honor 8X can hold a microSD card of up to 400GB.
On the camera front, Honor 8X sports a dual AI camera setup on its back panel with 20MP and 2MP sensors. The company says that the smartphone can identify over 500 scenarios in 22 categories. The primary cameras of the smartphone can be used to take Super Slow Motion videos. There is a 16MP AI selfie camera on the smartphone’s front panel that comes with f/2.0 aperture and fixed focus. The Honor 8X smartphone houses a 3,750mAh battery that has support for 5V/2A (10W) charging and comes with intelligent power saving.
According to the company, Honor 8X is the world’s first Rheinland certified eye protection mobile phone.
The connectivity options of the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack and a microUSB port.
