Mi Band maker Huami has introduced a new smartwatch in the market. The company launched the Huami Amazfit Ares smartwatch in its home market China today. The smartwatch comes with a sport and rugged look which was first spotted last month. The device comes with an inbuilt GPS tracker and a display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection along with polycarbonate frame and non-replaceable silicone straps. Huami Amazfit Ares specifications
The Amazfit Ares features a square-shaped 1.28-inch touch-enabled coloured display. The display comes with a reflective display which is protected with a layer of Gorilla Glass 3 with AF coating housed inside a polycarbonate frame and can be conned to both Android as well as an iOS device via Bluetooth connection. It comes with a total of 70 sport modes that can track daily indoor as well as outdoor activities such as running, swimming, cycling, trekking, boxing, martial arts, taekwondo, sword-fighting, Zumba dance, as well as other activities.
The smartwatch is available with a FIRSTBEAT professional analysis algorithm that guides the user in improving your daily activities. There is also the company’s own built-in PAI (Personalized Activity Intelligence) health assessment system. This allows the users to assess their heart rate, daily activity intensity and personal physiological data 24×7. The smartwatch is 5ATM rated for water resistance up to 50 meters allowing swimming and other water sports. It packs a 200mAh battery to deliver up to 14 days of battery life on a single charge in its daily use mode. Also, it can last up to 90 days in the basic watch mode and 23 hours with GPS usage. Additionally, the Amazfit Ares includes sensors such as a bio-tracking optical sensor, 3-axis acceleration sensor, barometer, and buzzer, as well as GPS and GLONASS. Moreover, there is a notification reminder, music playback support and offline payment on the watch.

The Amazfit Ares has been launched in China with a price tag of CNY 499 that translates to Rs 5,300. The Huami smartwatch has been listed on the company’s website and will be available in two colour options Iwaguro (Black) and Army Green. You can also choose from multiple straps options available in silicon, rubber, leather, as well as Youth Edition Colour Wristband. Currently is up for pre-booking and can be purchased with an introductory discount of CNY 40 that is approximately around Rs 450 as per Indian currency. However, the smartwatch is scheduled to go on sale on June 1st via TMall.
