iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max now up for sale in India

The new iPhones were launched on September 10

The whole Apple iPhone 16 Series—iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max—is currently on sale in India. Pre-orders went live on September 13 and sales started at 8 AM at Apple Saket and Apple BKC in India. The Apple A18 SoC powers the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. Whereas the Apple A18 SoC powers the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. All the models feature an updated Camera Control button and AI features.

The Apple iPhone 16 with 128GB of storage starts at Rs 79,900 in India. Upgrading to 256GB and 512GB storage variants would cost you Rs 89,900 and Rs 1,09,900, respectively.

The iPhone 16 Plus, on the other hand, will be priced at Rs 89,900 for the 128GB model and Rs 99,900 for the 256GB variant. Customers may now acquire a phone with 512GB of storage for Rs 1,19,900.

Both variants are available in black, pink, teal, ultramarine, and white colours.

iPhone 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max price in India

The iPhone 16 Pro Max’s base variant, with 256GB storage, costs Rs 1,44,900. However, a 512GB variant is available for Rs. 1,64,900. The most costly iPhone 16 Pro Max model has 1TB of storage and costs Rs 1,84,900.

The Pro models will be available in Black Titanium, Desert Titanium, Natural Titanium, and White Titanium colourways.

These phones will be sold through the Apple India website, other online retailers, authorised stores, Apple Saket, and Apple BKC in the country.

iPhone 16, 16 Plus Specs, Features

Apple has released the iPhone 16 and Plus, featuring a Super Retina XDR OLED display with a 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen, and up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. These models have improved Ceramic Shield protection and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Additionally, they feature a new Camera control button and an Action button from the iPhone 15 Pro series.

The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are OS 18-powered devices with a 3nm octa-core A18 chipset, Apple Intelligence support, and up to 512GB built-in storage, offering exceptional performance.

The standard models feature dual rear cameras with a redesigned setup, including a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 48-megapixel wide-angle camera. The ultrawide camera can take macro photos, while a 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera is available for selfies and video calls.

The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max feature Super Retina XDR OLED displays with Ceramic Shield protection, 120Hz refresh rate, and 2,000 nits brightness. They have an IP68 rating, IP68 resistance to dust and water, improved mechanical architecture, heat dissipation, and optimised battery life. The iPhone 16 series also includes a touch-sensitive Camera Control button for easier camera launches, replacing the previous mute switch.

The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max, powered by a 3nm A18 Pro CPU, come with up to 1TB of storage and iOS 18. When iOS 18.1 is released, it will support all Apple Intelligence functions. Apple Intelligence uses Apple silicon and generative models to understand language, create images, and take actions across apps. It uses Private Cloud Compute to maintain user data privacy and security. Apple Intelligence will be available as a free software update, with the first features rolling out next month in U.S. English for most regions worldwide.

The Pro models feature a triple rear camera setup, including a 48-megapixel wide primary camera, an upgraded 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera for video calls and selfies.
