iPhone 18 Pro leaked video suggests major design upgrades: Details

The new leak regarding the iPhone 18 Pro has gotten many excited. A video shows off big upgrades to the design and hardware of Apple's next flagship phone.

A leaked video has revealed the design and specs of the next-generation iPhone 18 Pro, including a smaller front notch, camera upgrades, and the new A20 Pro CPU. Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech shared the video, which detailed Apple’s substantial overhaul, noting changes to the display, camera system, internals, and colour options.

A fresh leak disclosed details about the design and hardware of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro, as seen in a video by Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech. The video highlights a major redesign for Apple, including changes to the display, camera system, internal components, and colour options. The most noticeable change looks to be on the front, where the usual pill-shaped cutout used for Face ID may be reduced to a single hole, possibly due to some components being moved beneath the display. Furthermore, the selfie camera has been relocated to the top-left corner of the screen, which will be a noticeable change for loyal iPhone users.

The report says that Apple is also testing three additional colours for the 18 Pro: Burgundy, Brown, and Purple.

The leak suggests enhancements to the iPhone 18 Pro series’ physical controls. Particularly, the camera control button could convert from being capacitive to pressure-based to make the user experience more reliable.

As mentioned, Dynamic Island will still be a part of the iPhone, but it will move to the top-left corner next to the front camera. This will make it less invasive while keeping the same animations and live activities. The iPhone 18 Pro may also get a big camera improvement with the addition of a variable aperture system. This capability would improve low-light shooting and portrait photography by letting the lens decide how much light it lets in, which would mean less dependence on software. However, the iPhone 18 Pro Max may be the exclusive recipient of this powerful camera capability.

Apple’s next-generation A20 Pro processor is also likely to power the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. This chip will use TSMC’s new 2nm manufacturing process. Apple is also said to be looking at a new way to design chips that would include putting RAM directly on the same board as the CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine. This would be a big step forward in the device’s internal architecture.

Better thermal management might also mean bigger batteries or better cooling. Initial estimates say that this generation will be 15% faster and 30% more efficient than the last. Additionally, Apple is reportedly replacing Qualcomm in the Pro iPhones with the new C2 modem for a faster and more effective cellular connection.
