iPhone XR discount is now live on Apple authorised stores and Amazon India

It’s a good time for Apple fans you wish to buy an iPhone from the company’s latest lineup. This week, a temporary price cut on iPhone XR in was announced and today, the offer has gone live. So if you have been waiting for one of the three iPhones to get a price cut so that you can get your hands on them, today is certainly your day.

The price cut will be available on all three storage variants of iPhone XR in India, however earlier it was said that interested customers can only avail the discount from Apple authorised retail stores. However, if you have a preference for online shopping, you would be happy to know that the limited period iPhone XR offer is now live on Amazon India’s website too.

Post the price cut, the cost of iPhone XR in India starts at Rs 59,900 for its base model that comes with 64GB storage onboard. Its other two variants that come with 128GB and 256GB storage can be bought for Rs 64,900 and Rs 74,900 respectively during the time this offer is valid. However, the additional cashback that HDFC is offering at retail stores cannot be availed online.

For those unaware, on buying the iPhone XR from an Apple authorised retail store using an HDFC Ban credit or debit card customers will get an additional cashback of 10%. This will bring down the cost of 64GB model of iPhone XR to Rs 53,900, while the 128GB and 256GB storage variants will be available for Rs Rs 58,400 and Rs 67,400 respectively.

Coming back to the offer on Amazon India, you can also opt for no-cost EMI, provided you are a customer of a major bank in India. In addition to this, you can also make use of the exchange offer that the e-commerce platform is offering that will enable you to get a further discount of Rs 17,400 on the iPhone XR if they exchange their old smartphone. Shoppers can also get benefits of their Amazon Prime membership, provided they have one.

To recall, iPhone XR was launched by Apple in September 2018 along with iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. The handset features a 6.10-inch (828×1792 pixels) Liquid Retina display and is powered by the company’s own A12 Bionic processor. For imaging duties, iPhone XR comes with a 12MP rear camera that has an f/1.8 aperture and for selfies and video calls, there is a 7MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture.
