Lenovo has just lifted the curtain on its latest gaming tablet, the Legion Tab Y700 (2024), in China. Building upon last year’s model—which found its way to India not too long ago—this new iteration packs a punch with significant upgrades while retaining the features fans loved.
The tablet continues to sport an 8.8-inch 2.5K LCD screen but now boasts a buttery-smooth 165Hz refresh rate, ensuring a seamless visual experience whether you’re gaming or streaming. Under the hood, Lenovo has swapped out the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC for the more formidable Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. This upgrade promises enhanced performance and efficiency, making multitasking and high-end gaming a breeze.

In terms of memory and storage, users can choose up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a generous 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. If that’s not enough, there’s room to expand storage by up to 1TB via a microSD card. Lenovo mentions a VC area of 10,004mm², claiming it’s “larger than a mobile phone screen,” which should aid in better heat dissipation during intense gaming sessions.
An optional Super Control Smart Edition screen is available for those seeking an even better display experience. According to Lenovo, this screen option improves smoothness by 4.1 times, reduces screen glare by 96.5%, and cuts down flash points by 45% compared to conventional anti-glare screens. This means less eye strain during extended use and a clearer view even under bright lighting conditions.
Battery life hasn’t been overlooked. The Lenovo Legion Tab Y700 (2024) retains the hefty 6,550mAh battery from its predecessor but now supports faster 68W fast charging, a notable jump from the previous 45W. This means less downtime and more playtime.
