Meta AI brings Incognito Chat to WhatsApp: Details Inside

By default, conversations will be deleted, making them even more discreet for individuals discussing sensitive topics such as health, loans and career advice.

WhatsApp has announced a new feature called ‘Incognito Chat with Meta AI’, making it easier to have private chats about sensitive issues like personal issues, money, medical conditions, or job tasks. Conversations are ephemeral and not stored to ensure user privacy, using Meta’s Private Processing technology. The functionality will be rolled out gradually over the coming months along with a similar tool called Side Chat with Meta AI.

Incognito Chat with Meta AI on WhatsApp and the Meta AI app provides a way to have secret conversations with artificial intelligence. The new functionality prioritises user privacy by enabling interactions to take place in a “protected” environment that Meta cannot access. The application behind this feature is built on WhatsApp’s private processing capabilities, which are meant to allow invisible interactions while ensuring user data and privacy.

Built on top of WhatsApp’s Private Processing technology, Incognito Chat lets you talk to Meta AI in a way that is invisible to anyone else.”

Most importantly, chats are never saved, and messages are self-destructing so that people may talk about distinct perspectives freely without any fear of privacy breaches.
