The Chinese company Xiaomi has officially announced the launch of its new smart wearable that is Mi Watch Lite. The smartwatch is a rebranded variant of the Redmi Watch which arrived in China last month. The new watch has also been introduced by the company in its home market and will be available in distinct colour options. The device carries an Apple watch design with a square-shaped LCD display paired with a silicon band. It touts to offer up to 9 days of battery life and 11 sports mode.

Mi Watch Lite has been introduced in China with a price tag of CNY 299 that translated to Rs 3,300. This device is expected to be offered at similar pricing in the international market also. The smartwatch will be available in five colour options of Pink, Ivory, Olive, Navy Blue, and Black strap.

The Mi Watch Lite comes with a 1.4 inch coloured LCD display having a resolution of 320×320 pixels. The square dial offers a pixel density of 323ppi and an adaptive brightness of 350 nits. The device comes with more than 120 watch faces as well as emoji support and watch face function customization. There will be three color options for the watch case, five color options for the strap. To connect an Android smartphone with the watch the user needs to install the Xiaomi Wear app from the Play Store while the iOS users need to install the  Xiaomi Wear Lite app via App Store.

The smartwatch offers 11 workout modes that include outdoor cycling, indoor cycling, outdoor running, treadmill, walking, open water swimming, swimming in the pool, cricket, trekking, trial run, walking, indoor running, and free activities. In addition to this, the watch is 5 ATM certified with a water resistance of up to 50m.

The Mi Watch Lite equips a PPG sensor and can also support heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, and guided breathing exercises. The device notifies you when your heart rate goes above normal levels. It can also save your resting heart rate data for 30 days to help monitor long-term heart rate changes. While the sleep monitor can analyze your sleep data such as deep sleep, light sleep and sleep duration to help maintain good sleeping habits. 

Mi Watch Lite can deliver up to nine days of battery life in typical usage and up to 10 hours in continuous GPS sports mode. There is a 230mAH battery on the watch which takes exactly two hours to completely charge. The smart wearable can instantly Instantly view calls, texts, and app notifications. Moreover, it can also help the user to control music while keeping your phone in your pocket. While the idle alert reminds you to stay active. The sensors on the watch include GPS/ A-GPS/ GLONASS, optical heart rate sensor, six-axis sensor, L-sensor, Barometer, and compass.
