The tech giant Microsoft has announced the launch of its four new products Surface Book 3, Surface Go 2, Surface Headphones 2 and Surface Earbuds. Besides this, the company also launched Surface Dock 2 and a USB-C Travel Hub. All the new surface devices are now available for preorders. According to the company, all the surface products have been designed to help you do what you need, from anywhere – a concept that has taken on new weight since we first started working on these products. “As a company, we are focused on supporting our customers during this time of change.”
Microsoft Surface Go 2
Microsoft Surface Go 2 tablet is lightweight as well as portable featuring a larger 10.5-inch PixelSense display with 1920×1280 pixels of resolution. It comes with improved battery life with up to 64% faster performance than the original with 8th Generation Intel Core M options. It comes integrated with Studio Mics, the dual microphone increases voice clarity and reduces background noise for Teams meetings or video chats. The tablet features a 5MP front-facing camera that is claimed to deliver sharp video even in low light. Whereas the rear camera can now scan documents and whiteboards.
The device is paired with Surface Pen for doing things like drawing diagrams, marking up documents or working through math equations. It will be available with Type Covers, Sleeves and accessories in a variety of colors, including Platinum, Black, Poppy Red, and Ice Blue. The Microsoft Surface Go 2 will be available for purchase starting May 12 at $399 that translates to Rs Rs. 30,500 for the base model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage paired with Intel Pentium Gold processor. Whereas the 8GB of RAM with a 128GB SSD will be available at $629 that translates to Rs 47,970 while the same model with integrated LTE option comes at $729 that translates to Rs 55,595.
Microsoft Surface Book 3
Microsoft Surface Book 3 is said to be the company’s most powerful laptop with up to 50% more performance than Surface Book 2 and up to 17.5 hours of battery life. It will be available in two screen sizes, 13-inch and 15-inch high-DPI PixelSense Display. Furthermore, there is a smooth, precise trackpad, comfortable keyboard and is powered by 10th Generation Intel Core processors and choice of discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX or Quadro RTX™ GPUs. The company has provided 10th Gen ‘Ice Lake’ Core i5 and Core i7 processors that support up to 32GB RAM.
The model 1.2GHz Core i5 CPU with 8GB of RAM and 256GB NVMe SSD comes at $1,599 that translates to Rs 1,21,940. The 15-inch model with 1.3GHz Core i7 CPU, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU paired with 32GB of RAM and 2TB NVMe SSD will be available at $3,399 that translates to Rs 2,59,200. Both the models will go on sale later this month starting May 21.
Microsoft Surface Headphones 2
According to the company, the Surface Headphones 2 comes with a comfortable design that puts over your ears to offer high-quality sound along with 13 levels of ambient noise control. It delivers a good battery life with up to 20 hours of clear sound with active noise cancellation to either block out or boost human voices. It can be rotated to 180 degrees for greater comfort while wearing around the neck. It will be available in two finishes Black and classic Platinum. It will be on sale starting May 12 starting $249 that translates to Rs 18,990.
Microsoft Surface Earbuds
Microsoft Surface Earbuds comes with a comfortable and stable fit. The earbuds are touch-enabled for better control with Omnisonic sound. It is supported by Spotify to connect to your Android device just with a triple tap on either earbud to launch the app. It comes with a dictation feature of Microsoft 365 that allows you to dictate in Word, Outlook or PowerPoint. The earbuds are IPX4 rated for water resistance and will be available in a single Glacier. It comes with a wireless charging case and has been priced at $199 that translates to Rs 15,175.
Surface Dock 2 and Microsoft USB-C Travel Hub
Surface Dock 2 can connect monitors, accessories and additional storage. It will help you to expand your workspace with a simple magnetic click and deliver faster charging higher data transfer rates. Also, the company has launched a multi-port Microsoft USB-C Travel Hub to connect networks, displays and USB-C™ accessories while you are travelling. The Surface Dock 2 has been priced at $259.99 while the Microsoft USB-C Travel Hub is priced at $99.99 that translates to Rs 19,750 and Rs 7,550 respectively.
