As the pandemic rages across the whole world, in the interest of the students confined at home, American video streaming platform Netflix has now unlocked a bundle of free documentary series on its official US Youtube Channel on the request of the teachers.

This generous move by the company serves the purpose of providing educational content to the kids when all the schools have been temporarily shut down due to coronavirus. The working parents can also use these educational movies to keep their kids busy when they are feeling bored at home, also it can be watched together which means more movie watching in your free time.

Netflix usually charges a monthly subscription fee from the users for watching video content on its platform. But the company has now decided to provide a selection of documentary features and series available without having to pay any subscription.

“For many years, Netflix has allowed teachers to screen documentaries in their classrooms. However, this isn’t possible with schools closed. So at their request, we have made a selection of our documentary features and series available on the Netflix US YouTube channel,” the company in its blog post said.
