In order to bring the most amazing stories from across the world to all fans of entertainment in India, Netflix is now hosting StreamFest starting at 12:01 am on December 5 until 11:59 pm on December 6. With this, people across the sub-continent can stream all the blockbuster films, the biggest series, award-winning documentaries, and entertaining reality shows during this two-day period.
According to Monika Shergill, Vice President, Content, Netflix India: “Pick from some of the biggest Indian movies and series: experience the anticipation of “What happens in 25 days?” in Sacred Games, go on a mad ride with the newly released Ludo, and be inspired by the Telugu hit Miss India. Or pick international movies and series: feel the adrenaline rush of Extraction; and be immersed in a crime drama with the Spanish series, La Casa de Papel. Your kids will also love our very own Mighty Little Bheem, and be able to choose their own adventure with the interactive Boss Baby: Get that Baby.”
If you are interested in leveraging this opportunity, simply follow these steps:
- Visit Netflix.com/StreamFest (or download the Android app)
- Sign up with your name, email or phone number, and password
- Start streaming.
Mind you! StreamFest is completely free, no credit or debit card or payment needed. However, no one else can use the same login information to stream as anyone who signs in during StreamFest gets one stream in standard definition. On sign up through the Android app or a browser, the user can access that login to watch Netflix on any device — smart TV, gaming console, iOS device. Besides this, one can even visit Netflix.com/StreamFest to set a reminder using their email or phone number. They will be notified as soon as StreamFest is live.
“You can also access every feature that our members currently use and love — create Profiles (including Kids’ Profiles), set Parental Controls, browse Netflix in Hindi, add series or films to My List, watch with subtitles or dubs, use Smart Downloads on mobile, and see the Top 10 list (which gives you the 10 most popular movies and shows on Netflix in India). This is because we want fans keen to try Netflix to experience it exactly the way our members do,” added Shergill.
Netflix further notified that it will have to limit the number of StreamFest viewers to ensure that all who comes in gets the best experience. The users might get to see a message saying “StreamFest is at capacity” during StreamFest. However, Netflix will let them know when they can start streaming.
