New Instagram update brings new creative tools like Birthday’s, Audio Notes, Selfie Video Notes and more

Meta has also rolled out Activity Off-Meta Technologies on Instagram to stop Instagram from collecting your online activity data.

Meta has introduced a couple of new features for Instagram. The company is empowering its users by providing an essential feature called Activity Off-Meta Technologies which stops Instagram from collecting their apps and website information. In addition to this few more features like Birthday, Audio Notes, Selfies Video Notes and Multiple Lists for Stories are also part of the new Instagram update.

At a product education session in Gurgaon today Meta unveiled 4 new Instagram features that would appeal to the GenZ audiences, and would soon start testing.

Birthday’s

This Instagram feature will allow users to help their friends and followers know when their birthday is. So they can celebrate or watch you in fun ways, like stickers and confetti!.

Audio Notes and Selfie Video Notes

Meta has also brought a number of improvements to Audio Notes and Selfie Video Notes. For Audio Notes, Meta now allows users to leave a voice recording as a Note. As the name suggests the Selfie Video notes will let you capture a short video that will loop in your Note for 24 hours.

Multiple Lists in Stories

According to Meta Multiple Lists in Stories is the most requested feature allowing users to create more lists beyond just Close Friends. Instagram now lets you create lists for your different groups of friends, your family, for work and more.

As mentioned earlier Meta also released a feature named Activity Off-Meta Technologies on Instagram. It will help users to stop Instagram from collecting your online activity data. This feature allows you to manage how information other businesses send Meta is connected to your Facebook and Instagram accounts. According to the company, you can also review the businesses that are sharing data with Meta, disconnect specific ones to further personalise your experience, or clear this data entirely – it’s up to you.
