Nothing Phone 2 launched in India, equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and tweaked design

Nothing Phone 2 has finally been unleashed in India and well as globally. It is the successor to the Phone 1 from a year ago and the first phone ever released by the firm. The Nothing Phone created buzz and excitement among enthusiasts of mobile devices even before it was officially introduced. Like its predecessor, Phone 2 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and run on the Nothing OS.

Nothing Phone 2 Price in India and availability details

The Nothing Phone 2 has been launched in three different configurations of 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with 256GB and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage model. The price of the device is set at Rs 44,999 and Rs 49,999 and Rs 54,999 respectively.

Note that the device went up for pre-registrations last week and those who have already pre-booked the device by paying a refundable deposit of Rs 2,000 will now be able to select their desired configurations or model and pay the balance to secure the purchase between 9 PM IST on July 11 and 11:59 PM IST on July 20. The device is scheduled to go on sale from July 21 in India and will be offered in Dark Gray and White colour options.

Nothing Phone 2 Price in India and availability details

The product will be only available for purchase in the nation on Flipkart. The Nothing Phone 2 will also be available for direct purchase from Nothing Drops pop-up stores in Bengaluru, India, in addition to the other options mentioned. This is the company’s first Nothing Drops site in the country. Customers who purchase products in person are also eligible for incentives and a chance to interact with the team, according to the business. On July 14, starting at 6.30 p.m. IST, people can purchase the Nothing Phone 2, Nothing Power 45W charger, and Nothing Phone 2 accessories at the Nothing Drops store in Bengaluru at Lulu Mall, Gopalapura, Binnipete. The only catch is that it would be first-come, first-served.

From July 13 to July 15, Nothing Drops pop-up shops will also be open in London, New York, Paris, Berlin, Dubai, and Kuala Lumpur in addition to Bengaluru.

Nothing Phone 2 specifications

The Nothing Phone 2 features dual stereo speakers and a mid-frame made of aluminium. It has curved edges, a transparent rear shell, and a special Glyph Interface that consists of LED strips. The new phone will enable 10 new ringtones and notification sounds, and it now has 33 individually accessible zones.

The highlight of the Nothing Phone 2 over its predecessor is a larger 6.7-inch display. Full-HD+ resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate are all features of its LTPO OLED display. SGS Low Blue Light and HDR10+ certifications are present on the gadget.

Nothing OS 2.0, based on Android 13, is preinstalled on Phone 2. Additionally, the company has confirmed that the phone would get 4 years of security upgrades in addition to 3 years of Android updates. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which has eight cores.

For optics, the phone comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 1/1.56-inch 50-megapixel primary Sony IMX890 sensor ( f/1.88 aperture) with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and EIS support and a 1/2.76-inch 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor with an ultra-wide lens (114-degree FoV and f/2.2 aperture). Upfront there is a 1/2.74-inch Sony IMX615 32-megapixel sensor (f/2.45 aperture) for taking selfies and video calling.

A 4,700mAh battery is included with the Nothing Phone 2. Both 15W Qi wireless charging and 45W PPS wired fast charging are supported. The phone has both face unlocking and an optical fingerprint sensor built into the display for biometric security. There has WiFi 6, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS/A-GPS, NavIC, and a USB Type-C connection for communication. Two ambient light sensors, an e-compass, a gyroscope, and a proximity sensor are all present.
