OnePlus India has hiked the retail price of the OnePlus 15 by up to Rs 6,000. The base model is now priced at Rs 77,999. The price rise was executed without any prior notice to customers. The global memory component scarcity is responsible for this change in overall cost.

In the current market scenario, purchasers who delayed their purchases are taking a big hit on their budgets owing to the increasing costs of smartphones. Such behaviour negates the original value proposition that made products like the OnePlus phone competitive at launch. It is worth mentioning that OnePlus is not the only company to boost prices; other popular companies, such as Samsung, OPPO, Realme, Vivo, iQOO, Motorola, and Nothing, have also jacked up prices on different devices over the last few weeks.

This overall market trend makes one ask concerns about client loyalty, which seems to be put on the back burner to corporate profit margins. For instance, the OnePlus 15R had a hike of Rs 2,500 within a month of its introduction in December 2025, and its base model has already crossed Rs 52,999. It’s an indication of the larger trend in the sector where escalating prices seem to be more important than consumer loyalty.
