OnePlus 8T gets cheaper than the OnePlus 9R, receives a price cut of Rs 4,000

The Chinese smartphone company, OnePlus, introduced OnePlus 8T in India last year in October. Now, the price of the device has been revised by the company. The device has received a price cut of Rs 4,000 that is applicable on all its variants, bringing the device price to as low as Rs 38,999, making it cheaper than the OnePlus 9R.

The OnePlus 8T was originally launched in India with a price tag of Rs Rs 42,999 for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version, while the 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage variant was priced at Rs 45,999 in the country. The phone has now received a price cut of Rs 4,000. After the price revision, the 8GB RAM option can now be possessed at Rs 38,999. Similarly the 12GB RAM with retail at Rs 41,999. The handset with the updated pricing is now available for purchase via Amazon and the OnePlus online store in India.

The OnePlus 8T runs OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 out of the box. It is powered by Snapdragon 865 SoC and the Adreno 650 GPU coupled with  12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. The device features a 6.55-inch flat fluid AMOLED display with 1,080×2,400 pixels of resolution and a 91.1 percent screen-to-body ratio. It offers a refresh rate of 120Hz, it also has support for HDR10+, 1,100 nits of peak brightness and a 240 Hz sampling rate.

A quad rear camera setup on the back of the OnePlus 8T includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a secondary 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with a 123-degree field of view, a 5-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. While on the front it has a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

In addition to this, the device packs a 4,500mAh battery and supports Warp Charge 65. It is claimed to fully charge the battery in 39 minutes, and almost 58% in just 15 minutes. The phone has a dual-end Type-C port design to offer support for up to 45W PD fast charge. There is 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, NFC, GLONASS, and a USB Type-C port for connectivity.
