Recently OnePlus launched its most affordable Nord CE 5G in India, which is a successor to the OnePlus Nord N10 5G. Now the company is prepping up to bring the OnePlus Nord 2, which is the follow up of the original Nord that was first launched in India in July last year. Coming to the back of the phone, you will notice some changes in the design of the back panel. Unlike the original one, the upcoming OnePlus Nord 2 will feature a rectangular camera module on the top left corner instead of a pill-shaped camera system. The camera set-up can be seen housing three sensors stacked vertically with an LED flash. The device is said to measure 160×73.8×8.1 mm. The renders show the green colour variant however the Nord 2 is likely to arrive in more colour options.

Speaking of the specification, the AI Benchmark listing tipped that the OnePlus Nord 2 could be powered by MediaTek Dimansity 1200 SoC. The device is said to be a rebadged version of Realme X9 Pro. The upcoming phone is said to be offering 8GB of RAM and will run Android 11.

In the past, the Chinese smartphone company itself confirmed the OnePlus Nord 2 moniker. The handset accidentally got listed in the eligible phone’s list for free Stadia Premiere Edition in the FAQ section of the OnePlus UK website where it was running a promotional offer for OnePlus phone buyers to get free Stadia Premiere Edition. The FAQ also includes other eligible phones in its list of supported phones: the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus Nord, and the OnePlus Nord 2. However, the alleged phone has now been removed from the list.

Besides this, the device is expected to feature a 90Hz 6.43-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display and an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC under its hood. For the photos and videos, the OnePlus Nord 2 is slated to come with a  triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor accompanied by an 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors.
